No fluff, but it's going to be along the lines of the Vidar tank from TRO: 3085- produced by the Rasalhauge natives and not the warrior caste to either beat it and/or replace it. Cause of that, I am more than open to revision and redesign.

Vehicle flamers are to work double-duty as assistance for fire engines. Infantry bay can also double as a squad of inner sphere armor, but I really should remove a pair of Micro Pulses for a full five-point bay.

I didn't think chemical lasers would find a useful niche, but I'm apparently wrong. This is an interesting design.

It could find its nick in city fighting. Out side of city fighting I see it just as one big target saying please shoot me!
Being for city fighting the lack of long range weapons and that it only has ten shots for its main battery of CML would not be all that critical.
I would drop the infantry bay for some machine guns for additional anti infantry defense. Armored infantry can keep up with this tank on there own they don't need to ride inside it. As for unarmored PBI, who cares about them. All they are are old men that out lived there usefulness.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.
I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
Yay for promotions!!!

Perhaps- it's actually got 15 rounds per Laser, FYI
Plus, it's also got those ATM 9's, which (I'll admit) can probably loose one ton of ammo. Since they can only fire on line-of-sight (the reason why I think they can't replace LRMs/SRMs) HE rounds become killer here.

Eh, I don't know about them. From what i've seen, with the merging of Clan Ghost Bear into the Rasalhauge Republic the idea of Solhama has kinda fallen off the radar; even more so now that the natives are beginning to build designs of their own use with clan tech.
The idea to remove the infantry bay is considerable, but during it's moving normal foot cant keep up- the kind of stuff this tank would want with it while it's hunting bigger targets for close-in protection.
Still, reasonable ideas, all around.

Ha! Even funnier is that I was wrong about the Solahma; the bears still got em'.
Anyway, the infantry section in TRO: 3085 shows that for the 4 tons, the Ontos IIC could carry a full squad of Clan Assault Infantry, which at full strength is capable of doing nearly 20 points of damage for about 180 BV (!). It might be a good idea to keep it after all.
