Intended as a fast raider, light mech hunter and heavy scout, the Iklwa is
designed to be well armed, protected and sufficiently fast to keep up with a
majority of enemy light and medium mechs.

Named after the short Zulu stabbing spear, often used to deliver a powerful
killing blow, the Iklwa was made to deliver heavy firepower in a lightweight

In order to mount a heavier armament than normal, the Iklwa uses a number of
advanced and experimental weapons, including a pair of LPPC's augmented with
capacitators and a versatile MML launcher.

The PPC's and capacitators give the Iklwa firepower on par with a Warhammer 6R
model though at half the weight.

The MML7 gives the Iklwa some long range indirect fire capability in addition
to the ability to fire short range missiles for close defense to complement the
single ER medium laser.

In order to use their firepower in the most effective manner, Iklwa are
deployed in pairs or as lances, while one half of the team attacks, the other
pulls back to recharge capacitators and provide long range missile fire if
required before switching roles.

Because of their high mobility they can often flank slower enemies or run away
from the more powerful ones. The armour allows them to get into a scrap, but
it is generally speaking, not stong enough to stand up to heavier mechs for
extended periods.

As a raider and heavy scout the Iklwa is able to penetrate deeply behind enemy
lines and engage enemy hunter-killers and scouts.
