Wher are we at?

Where to start? Before anyone gets the idea that this is a general **** session it is not. If you want to do that go and start your own thread.
First up, thank you SM for buying Neveron and attempting to keep the game alive. Without your efforts it is likely it would have folded at least 12 months ago. However, you already knew this, and you also know that this is not the purpose of the post.
I am going to comment on a couple of specific issues, for which I would like a clear and rational explanation (one that does not take pages of typing is fine).
At the moment Neveron is broken, and I am not talking about the game. We all know that there are bugs in the code that have been there for years. To a greater or lesser degree we accept that; older players are so used to these special features, we hardly ever think about it, good luck trying to attract and keep new players if that situation remains as the norm.
This leads into my first point. You have constantly and consistently asked people to help you identify bugs and their possible causes. Now in the real world you would employ people to do this job. They would be either paid or rewarded in some fashion for their efforts. Their reports would be treated with due respect and if not acted on, then at least acknowledged. In Neveron’s case, neither occurs.
I know that this is the case because of the complete hash that Codefest became. You stated “Bugs - Issues that have an impact across the entire game will be addressed” To the best of my knowledge the only game affecting bug that was addressed was the recycling bug, a minor issue that had zero impact on game play.
So where people were looking for real fixes within the game, they got nothing. Arena people never got their bugs fixed, and there are a multitude of them. The simulator still affects arenas. The pre-placement in LW is still broken and a heap of others that I am not an expert on remain. And this is where Neveron is broken. You promised people; if not the world, then at least a brighter future. And you failed to deliver, big time. Instead you employed the person who created the bugs in the first place to radically change the nature of the game, some would say (me included) terminally. This leads into my last point. Your new and improved training system is a total failure.
The explanation provided within Neveron is incorrect and as poorly explained piece as I have ever read. According to what is written, there is a chance for either skill ups or skill downs every nevday. However the chances of skilldowns occur based on the multi’s that person has. One would assume that it is twice as hard to go from say 6 to 5 as it was from 7 to 6. The skill ups on the other hand occur randomly for every unit within the empire. Do you see the problem here? The only way it is possible to maintain units within the 2 to 3 gunnery range is by DP.
Now why would I want to maintain them in that range? Because the TERRAIN is so appallingly bad that poor gunnery results in people killing themselves out of boredom or the use of ABR. Either way, why would new people consider play Neveron?
My question to you is why would I bother buying a 400 Million dollar Griffin 1-S? For the same price I can buy 106 Hunters, so much for reducing the number of units in the game. Your new program apparently works on gross numbers, and when dealing with 1000’s of units they will have your desired average. Unfortunately as this is supposed to be a BATTLEMECH based game, you have instead reduced it to a game where the person who can throw the most number of units, be they 8/8 tanks or 5/5 mechs will win. Where people would once aspire to buy some of the great DP mechs that were available, now they will adopt the Sewer Rats methodology of mediocrity. Have you noticed that the total BV across Neveron has decreased by around 10% since you introduced this change? I would also say that the numbers of units within Neveron has barely changed, and has most likely gone up as people attempt to train new gunners to a reasonable standard which is a waste of time as they will all go to 6/6 anyways.
There are reports of vehicles out there that are -10 gun. Randy sold you a pig in a poke, no doubt about it. He has convinced you that this is for the best, and if you want ‘cookie cutter’ empires that are all mediocre and produce nothing then he is right.
At the least, you need to greatly modify the terrain generation program that would allow mediocre units to do something. You need to remove the skill up program in its entirety, it achieves nothing except destroy BV. Name me another game where this occurs?
You have to fix the training program so the relevant skills for units are checked. Another example of a stupid Randy idea. How did you fail to notice that INF was being trained, despite the lazy past programmers removing the ability to use INF over 5 years ago?
You need to stop charging people to train vehicle stockpiles. Take a real close look at the marketplace for vehicles. People have dumped their stock onto the market to make it less expensive. Great in the short term (not for people who produce stuff) but eventually you will need to manually add stuff to the market or get NASI to do it. Either way the producing empires are doomed. If that is what you want, then come out and say it. You need to reduce the cost of training, dramatically. It should be no worse than 2X the cost of their normal maintenance bill. At the moment empires are losing billions in an attempt to fruitlessly maintain their skills.
Most of all, you need to regain trust. Trust is hard to earn and easy to lose. If you do not care about the players on Neveron, then say so. You have promised alot and frankly you have delivered very little. A few simple gestures would be to complete the raffle and publish the results, allow people to win DP for arena monthly totals and most bv killed in a month. Award bonuses for voting in MPOGD. At the moment there are zero incentives for the players to support you, and it is up to you and no one else to fix this.
Whatever you chose, I and many others would appreciate a response, not to be ignored and told that Neveron is: “[ShadowMasterCM] and that is the biggest problem of Neveron Community...far to many bitter old 'veterans' that refuse to move on from a game they no longer enjoy”.
We deserve better, and you can do better.

Dear Hannibal,
You might as well post what you wrote in a notepad. You are wasting your time.
