I will post the file for this mech a bit later, right now I am trying to see what needs to be improved or changed, the idea for the mech is fast heavy raider that has some punch and can fight as well as run if needed.
So any suggestions or ideas are welcome as would be anything lending towards the fluff. The company making it is not a standard BT universe company but it does have a good showing in my groups gaming adventures, so for this mechs it would be a common company. Again I am trying to get the mech stats down before jumping into the fluff:

I don't really see the point in having the light PPC or the Magshot. The light PPC takes up a lot of weight and is not all that better than a ERML. As for the Magshot I dont see any reason anyone would want it at all. A SRM-2 with half a ton of ammo would be better.
I would strip out the Light PPC, Magshot and the CASE in the LT and in there place adding an Extended Range Large Laser.
Granted you can't do a alpha strike and keep the heat down but you would normally not be in a position to do so with that mix of weapons anyways.
You could also change the armor to FF which will drop half a ton of weight where you could add that half a ton to the Thunderbolt 5s ammo bin and then have a little more staying power at the longer range.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Interesting take on the weapons. As to why needing to do an Alpha (which I consider munchkin level playing) as part of the design I do not follow.
As for the Ferro, I considered that but didn't see the need since it has Endo as well CASE. As for the magshot, I didn't want to use a MG so I went that only real reason its there.
I will play around with the suggestions and see what it looks like, thanks for the ideas.

I am guessing that the program that you use will not let you put in half ton ammo bins. Well anyways 99 points of armor for a 30 toner is not bad at all.
I would say that you now have a nice solid mech design now. You would have to watch your TH-5 ammo if you where going to go on a extended missions.
I was not paying as close attention to the Thunderbolt 5 as I should have. I did not realize that it gets half the shots of a standard LRM-5. I am thinking that maybe swop out the TH-5 for a LRM-5 and add another ERML. You would not have as much of a punch with the LRM-5 as you would with the TH-5 but on extended missions you would not have to worry about ammo for a good long time.
As for the alpha strike I think that is just out right plain stupid. Your not maximizing a mech's weapon potential and heat dissipation capacity if you are limiting your weapons for alpha strikes. I always try to make my mechs have a long range strike and a short range strike capability where both would need about the same number of heat sinks. Some of my assault mech designs would go past the 30 heat scale and go into automatic shut down if I even tried a alpha strike. My favorite custom mech would hit 29 on the heat scale if I tried a alpha strike after a full distance jump.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Heavy Metal Pro will allow half ton ammo if I want it. I agree on the alpha, sure you can run around with everything firing but to me that is not the point of the game. I will play around with LRM 5 swap and see what I get.
