Playing around with some of the "new" vehicles that seems to have shown up with the recent story (fairytale) plot, I tinkered with the Schmitt tank and try to add a few improvements to it. Most are to give it some better mid range punch and to protect it.
Enjoy...

What about the idea of dropping the LRM/SSRM for MMLs?

I honestly don't see a point to MMLs. The dual RAC-5's are more then scary enough and the tank only has to survive a few rounds to do its duty and damage.

I was thinking that I could save some weight and supply issues with having the MML vs the two different missile systems.

I'd actually ditch the Streak in favor of more LRM tubes. The Streak isn't doing much on a tank with twin RACs (and lacks any utility munition options like Infernos), while the MML is heavier per-tube of LRMs than a dedicated LRM launcher.
That's an issue specific to this vehicle, though. On a more missile-oriented vehicle, MMLs would be a good choice. They're everything ATMs wanted to be but failed.

What's the difference? I was under the assumption both were the same system, except one being clan and the other inner sphere. (my designs tend to be level 1 or 2.)

Okay I will play around with your ideas on this, still tinkering. I went with SSRM for those times where things get FUBAR and you need the short range hitting of the SSRM.
