------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== In response to the Capellan Confederation's Crow CRO-L2, the Davion half of the Federated Commonwealth requested Corean Enterprises to develop a new mech with which to combat the ever increasing presence of Ewar fielded by the CCAF. Corean Enterprises was able to respond to the request in only six months by simply retooling an exisiting Valkyrie manufacturing line rather then go through a lenghty prossess of building and designing a new mech from the ground up.
The new design, dubed Einherjar (Norse for "once fighters') looks quite similar to the Valkyrie, except for the addition of an armored bugle on the right shoulder housing the guardian ECM.
==Capabilities:== The Einherjar, simply being much like a Valkyrie refit, has the combat performance similar to its brother with a cruising speed of 86.4 km/h and jump capability of 150 meters. Its armor protection has been increased with the use of ferro-fiberous armor and CASE, and an endo-steel frame to free up weight.
The electronic warfare package was chosen to counter the Crow, namely an Apple Chruchill Beagle Probe to help scout for its nemesis and an Apple Chruchill Guardian ECM to hinder its electronic capability.
The Einherjar's weaponry has been modified to fit within its expected combat range. A mechwarrior is expected to quickly close within ECM range against a Crow and then cripple or destroy the mech; pin down the Crow until friendlies can help destroy it, or the Crow pilot flees the battlefield. As such, the Einherjar trades the LRM capability of the Valkryie for a Lycomb-Davion IntroTech SRM-6. An additional Sutel IX standard medium laser is added to the right arm for additional firepower.
==Variants:== The is one variant of the Einherjar. The VLK-QD6 trades the SRM-6 for trio of Streak-2's and one ton of ammo. The medium lasers are replaced by a single pulse varity of the same caliber. The Beagle Probe is removed. This variant is intended for raiding and gurreilla warfare behind enemy lines.

The fluff is really good, gives some light into the mech and why it is loaded out the way it is, plus it offers ideas on how to use it.
