I was wondering if there is a game that is similar to Battletech but is more realistic like no 30 foot high targets that would fall over if it fired a heavy projectile or was hit by such a weapon.
A game that had things like battle armor, tanks, and the like.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Yes I know, Robotech does not fall within the specified parameters. As for the other ones I dont know any of them. When I get around to it I will look them up.

You are forgetting they have new rules due out for Robotech that gives you a tactical game vs pure role play.

Most games have giant robots, if you want non-gaint robots then go with Shadowrun or D&D or one of the GRUPS games or one of the non-future military RPGs or mystery RPG or fantasy RPGs is about the only way I can see that happening.
Orge has giant tanks as does Renegade Legion and CAV has giant robots as well. You could try Star Wars or Star Trek RPGs they are giant robot free to a point.

I know star wars has such things but Star Trek? I have not read a book that did not have anything to do with Star Fleet. And the last I knew mechs are not all that useful out in deep space
