How insightful Besides the 2 Arrow IVs, there really isn't anything similar between this design and the Naga. One thing this design has going for it is its ammunition endurance which, in my opinion, tends to be lacking in virtually every other canon Artillery 'Mech. Even if your battles don't normally last nearly as long as it ammunition supply, at a bear minimum you can have more variable ammunition at your disposal. Besides, the Clans generally don't like to withdraw and can have a reckless regard for support units, so this design might do well...

IT has the same role all you did was up the tonnage. And that means you get a bit more of some things and a larger price tag. So you really didn't do anything new here at all. It will no worse or no better then the Naga and unless you are playing with some other Clan rule set most Clan warriors will not pilot this thing as they see no honor in it.

You mean like when you do the exact same thing redoing some cannon mech or vehicle?
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Redoing something to make it better in that you give it something that benefits the mech or vehicle or to fix an obvious error like you don't need an XL engine and can get a similar performance with a standard one etc...is one thing. Upping the tonnage to 100 tons cause that is the only thing you will ever use and can't win without it is not making a change. Following that logic, which ATN is really good at, why would anyone want to use anything BUT a 100 ton mech with full armor, enough heat sinks to fire their weapons till the sun goes nova and possible beyond, and have enough secondary weapons to hold off the entire Russian Army from 4 different centuries as well as the ammo for those weapons. It gets pointless. I can post 100 ton versions of every BT mech and that doesn't mean I have made them better, all I have done is make them munchy which isn't the point of the game. And takes away from the fun of it.

That is the kicker this all has to do with opinion. In "HIS" opinion its an improvement and in this case it just might be.

I have the opinion that 75 toners are the ideal weight. You can have a good amount of affective weapons, good armor protection, and with a 375 XL engine good movement.

It may be but he is not selling it as such, it needs more to it then 20 tons added. I can a 100 ton Warhammer, and the bonus is you can more armor and more heat sinks if you do it right and you can toss in a second SRM...those are improvements. I am not seeing much gain here over the Naga.
