------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
The Chepas was built as vehicle that could be mass produced to give militia
and other similar units a fast hit and run craft.

The idea game about after several reports and studies of the different
uprisings and rebellions that have happen over the past 100 years have shown
that the successful ones always had faster vehicels and knew how to use them.
So going with that idea, several members of the board of directors of Zambesi
Coachworks came up with the basics they felt would offer many of the units
that normally faced the larger amount of combat with these types of forces a
chance to return the favor and possiblely prevent many rebellions and
uprisings from gaining footholds and winning.

So once the idea was sprung on the company's designers, they went at it with a
rather lack luster attitude, not really sharing the board members' drive to
build the "ultimate weapon" and so testing and devlopement lagged along. After
six years of nothing to show, one of the up and coming board members, fresh
from his rise in the popular coach sells side of the company, he had made many
a sales of the high tech wonder cars and multi-passenger vans as well as
racing vehicles on numerous worlds, all bring in a nice profit for the
company, was placed in charge of the project things turned around. He took all
of the project mangers into a meeting, were he talked for an hour. What was
said or discussed has never been made public. Shortly after the meeting a
working prototype was on the testing grounds and being put through every test
that could be imagined.

The other board members and even the CEO of the company were shocked when a
finial model, with complete design specs and possible upgrades and variants
were offered to the board for full review in less then a year.

Seeing that they had a winner and a product to sell, the board quickly moved
to get it in to the hands of the military, as well as into the mecrenary arms
market.

So a Savanna Master with,

A extended range medium laser to replace the standard medium laser.

Strip armor protection for an extended range small laser.

If this is to be used against PBI I would strip the ER ML for a small pulse laser.

Or use this

cost 21,112 CBills

tech level IS L3
chassis wheeled
tank weight 3 tons
engine 25 ICE 1t
cruse speed 15
Flank speed 23
Lift/rotor/other N/A
control .15t
IS .3t

Armor slandered 1t

Front 1/6
LT/RT 1/4
Back 1/2
Turret N/A

Weapons/ammo
MG front .5t
MG ammo 10 shots body .05t

This armored car is meant for light guard duty aka for non critical insulations, convoys so on and so forth. In times of civil unrest it can mow down mobs of people very quickly. Rubber MG ammo is highly recommended and supplied for such uses of the armored car. The manufacture does not support mass murder of civilians. Also, if used in very large numbers they can be a risk to heavier tanks and mechs.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Wasn't going for the Savannah Master clone was going for something that could be used for those needing something against smaller threat base.

That is exactly what the Savannah Master is for.

If it walks and quacks like a duck...
