Granted your 'Mech achieves your goal of a high BV2 score but it is not very practical, is it? With a total of 140 heat points and only 10 Laser DHS it would quickly overheat in battle.

This is my personal design with the highest BV2. While not as high as yours, I think it's a little more well rounded. I came up with this design after having read the humorous example on "BattleTech: The Wars of Reaving" p.27.

==Overview:==
When Clan Wolf abandon their holdings in clan space, the Rabbits were
fortunate to claim possession of one where they found the designs for the Dire
Wolf. Since the Smoke Jaguars were destroyed and the Wolves had fled, no one
in clan space was producing the Dire Wolf, which was slowly disappearing due
to combat losses. Clan Floppy Rabbit saw an opportunity and seized it. They
retooled their unsuccessful Speedy Koala mech production facility to produce
the new design. Making a slight modification and renaming it to make it their
own, the Rabbits are now the only source of this successor to the Dire Wolf.

==Capabilities:==
Basically, the Doom Penguin is just a modified Dire Wolf. Clan Floppy
Rabbit's Scientist caste design philosophy stresses maximum flexibility in
their OmniMechs. When Clan Floppy Rabbit came into possession of the design
specifications, they modified it to fit their own preferences. The Doom
Penguin only has the twelve double heat sinks that reside in the engine as
fixed equipment. This gives it 53.5 tons of pod space. As opposed to the
Dire Wolf's fifteen double heat sinks and 50.5 tons of pod space.
The Prime configuration of the Doom Penguin carries two Extended-Range
Particle Projector Cannons (ERPPC), an Improved Advanced Tactical Missile
system 12 (iATM-12) taken from the renegade scientists known as The Society,
and a Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifle 40 from Clan Hell's Horses. It also carries
an ECM suite, a Laser AMS, and six extra double heat sinks for a total of
eighteen.

==Battle History:==
The first use of the new Doom Penguin OmniMech was when Clan Floppy Rabbit
issued a Trial of Possession to Clan Mousebat for it's mining facility that
produces both unobtainium and unbelievium. The Rabbit's attcking 101st
Assualt Cluster, including a full trinary of Doom Penguins, smashed the
defending Mousebats,

==Variants:==
Alternate Configuration A is a specialized urban fighter. For weapons it
carries three Medium Pulse Lasers, six Streak SRM-4s, a Plasma Cannon, and a
Ultra-20 Autocannon. It also carries an Active Probe, and Angel ECM suite,
and a Laser Anti-Missile System. It also has 8 additional DHS for a total of
20. (BV2: 3130)
Alternate Configuration B uses no energy weapons in order to stay cool in
hot environments. It carries 2 Gauss Rifles connected to a special Targeting
Computer, 2 iATM-9s, and an AMS. (BV2: 3328)
Alternate Configuration C is a powerful direct fire/long-range fighter
based on the old DVS-3 Devastator. It carries two Gauss Rifles and two ERPPCs
as it's main weaponry. It also carries an ECM suite, a Laser AMS, and two
Anti-Personnel Gauss Rifles, one forward and one facing the rear. It has
seven extra double heat sinks, for a total of nineteen. (BV2: 3349)
The Doom Penguin can also be armed with any Dire Wolf configuration.

==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==
StarCaptain Peter lead his trinary, all equipped with Doom Penguins, to
victory over the forces of
Clan Mousebat during the Mechs first battlefield use.

I suspect most truly battle worthy 'Mech designs will have a top end BV range from 3500-4500. After that you will likely have to do some pretty weird stuff to jack up the BV of the design...
