Overview:
The Liberator II is a redesign of the original Liberator, premiered in 3111, it
showed that Randam Mechwerks not only had survived its particularly brutal feud
with the Word of Blake and the subsequent financial crisis, but was still a
major contender in the arms market in the 32nd century.

Capabilities:
The Liberator II is uses advanded Inner Sphere and Clan-spec technology.

The Liberator II retains the original engine, but the skeleton was replaced by
a less bulky one similar to Clan designs. The armour is also of Clan level and
gives the mech a sleeker, more menacing appearance while offering greater
protection to its arsenal of advanced weapons.

The original PPCs have been replaced by an ER, Heavy and Snub-nosed version,
while a flamer and small X-pulse laser give the Liberator II increased
anti-infantry capability lacking it is forebearer.

In order to compensate for the higher heat burden a triple strength myomer was
installed, this makes the mech able to deal with the negative effects of heat
and gives it a considerable boost should it find itself in close quarters.

Battle History:
The Liberator II has performed very well in field tests and sales have been
good, despite the higher cost. Though still not a match for Clan machines, the
Liberator II has impressed the likes of Clan Ghost Bear. Enough so that it
procured a good number for its own second-line and militia units. It has been
suggested by observers that the Ghost Bears might be the source of Randam's
Clan tech or that they helped set up joint factories. Some have pointed out
that the two shared a deep hatred of the Word of Blake and this common ground
eased cooperation in the post Jihad years.

Deployment:
The Liberator II is more expensive than the original and the advanced
technology has kept sales to Mercenaries relatively low, though sales to the
great houses have been more than profitable.

Variants:
The 9GB is a rare and unique version, sold exclusively to Clan Ghost bear, it
replaces the PPCs with Clan ER PPCs.

Not following the need for three different types of PPCs, I think two of the same type with a third being the bigger punch would be better.

Personally I don't find it impressive and don't see why the clans would either, but that's just me.
