You have a fusion engine so why not a PPC instead of the light AC5?

I dont know why the Heavy Ferro-Fibrous. Its a surface ship why drive up the cost?
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
Yay for promotions!!!

There is a variant with a PPC, and the Heavy Ferro met the idea of a beef armor without going for more tonnage. The ship is meant to provide fire support for Riverine operations not slug fest. So really the RAC works better then the PPC in that regard.

The LAC is not a RAC. Replacing the LAC with a PPC goes a long way, even(especially) for fire support, seeing as you deal more damage and don't have to resupply a PPC.

With 2 turrets an advanced armor type is basically a necessity to cover anything decently and not paper thin.

Not to mention HFF has it's niche on vehicles, seeing as the crit space consumption on mech is just too massive to deal with.

My bad, the idea of using ammo over energy weapons is you get more opitions with ammo ones since you can use the different type of shells. As I said there is a variant with a PPC, the main model has the LAC and dual turrets isn't that high tech...
