Overview:
First spotted in 3145 during the now infamous Black Raid on Temperance, a quiet
Periphery planet that had escaped the horrors of war for many centuries.
Holovids of the attack and massacre of the population were distributed across
the Inner Sphere by an unknown party. Military Intelligence analysis showed
that the equipment, organisation and tactics used were typical of Word of Blake
Manei Domini forces.
Among them they spotted an unusual mech which was codenamed Deva II, and
appears to be an improved version of the original Celestial series mech.
Capabilities:
The Deva II was spotted in a single configuration and nothing is known of any
variants.
The Deva II is believed to use Clan-level equipment of unknown origin and while
this technical readout is speculative at best it fits what has been observed
and verified in holovids of the Black Raid.
The Deva II uses the more effective Clan XL engine and Endo Steel as well as a
small cockpit to make space for advanced weapons such as a HAG-30, a pair of
experimental ER Large Pulse Lasers, a vibroblade and an ER Small Laser.
The mech uses a triple-strength myomer and supercharger to augment its mobility
and fighting ability.
The extremely advanced design of the Deva II has raised many concerns, and some
fear that survivors of various groups such as the WoB and the Society may have
joined forces to once more bring death and destruction to the Inner Sphere.
Battle History:
The Deva II saw combat against local security forces that were no match for its
devastating firepower. The mech was seen attacking the planetary council
building and destroying it several well-placed shots.
Deployment:
Unknown at this time. The Holovids caused great concern in the Inner Sphere
that the World of Blake might have returned and are ready to unleash another
Jihad upon the Inner Sphere.
Others believe this is a false flag operation, designed to use terror and fear
of the WoB to keep the population subservient to whatever power fabricated
these Holovids.
Variants:
Nothing is known of other configurations though it is believed they could be
inspired by those of the original Deva.
