Better heat control, CASE, and 40% more armour? Not bad.

Minor edit...you're 7 points over max on your armour by tonnage. Reduce to 13.5 tons only costs you 1 point of armour. If you also reduce to 100 MG rounds, you haveca free ton to do...something.

Now what are you gonna do when its time to remake the hammer?

It might be a good idea to point out what has been done. First looked at it and didn't see the double heat sinks and the endo steel. It is kind of a surprise not to see ferrous fiber armor.
With trying to keep price down, I understand the lack of xl. Still unusual for Karagin

No free crits for FF or XL Engine.

Don't worry, I have my own ideas ;-)

That's a whole lot of heat sinks when your most used weapons are 2 PPCs.

Not following your point Retry. Are you saying I should have dumped on the heat issue, which is the big draw back to this mech and went with more speed or weapons and worried about heat later? The idea was to fix the short falls of the mech, but keep it with in reason at the same time. So armor and heat being the two big ones, I looked at those and went with what I did.

Well, you could delete some spare DHS for something else. Alternatively you can rid of the SRM and go with more MLs to use the 17 DHS.

How often are you going to be alpha striking with your entire weapon loads?

Depends on who is using the mech, and the ability to keep the two main guns firing is worth the heat sinks.

I'm kinda with Retry on this one, in that you'll rarely be in a situation where you'll need all your heat sinks. But exactly what constitutes "optimal" heat control is largely a matter of playstyle and personal taste.

OTOH, sometimes a little "extra" heat control is useful. Engine hits, Desert fights, and frequent use of Inferno SRMs can really ruin your day if you ride the line on heat.

guessing megamek stays at long range. Most battles I have seen were from 3 to 10 hexes, with 6-7 being the average. but I guess being in long range and having he ability to pot shot with all the weapons isnt something that people do.

Though being able to fire everything and run and not build up heat might be a little more heat sinks then needed. It is a good basis for upgrading in the field with erppcs.
