The wiki dose not say much about the affect a TSEMP has. It could destroy a mech in one shot no matter what defenses the mech has by shutting down all the safeties on a mechs fusion reactor and it going critical and blowing up.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

IIRC it either does nothing, causes a malfunction in the targeting system at +2 to hit or shuts down the mech, depending on the roll.

I see this one deployed in lance-sized units, taking pot shots with the PPC, trying to take down mechs with the TSEMP and then kill it with volleys of rockets. Wash, rinse, repeat ...

How long would the mech be shut down for? Like one round?

So the only way to really use the weapon is to fire it first?
I really don't see much use in this if all weapons fire is at the same time.
That is unless you are in position to take advantage of it if it works. Be ready to kick the mech being fired on, and as the emp takes it off it's feet, have the ability to kick it in the head from it lying on the ground.

I do like the use of the ppc. I would figure the snubnose doesn't have a minimum like the normal ppc.

The snPPC is an awesome urban weapon due to it's

PPC capacitor that boy for some head capping.

TSEMP looks fun too.

But the OS TSEMP looks like garbage.

honestly, I do see the use of a super charger in the enviroment the urban mech would fight in, but then I have rarely used running mechs in cities. Too much risk of a slide.

The dual snubnose ppc is interesting. That should get some respect for a light mech.

I had to cheat with this one and raise the weight, but it has a good mix of credible firepower, the TSEMP and a pulse laser to ward off infantry. A pack of these in a city or a dense environment could be a nightmare to any mech prowling around.
