Overview:
Based on the Lancaster assault mech (http://goo.gl/fKuoYr),
the Hotspur uses the latest technology available in the Inner Sphere


Capabilities:
The Hotspur is built around an endo-composite chassis, housing a conventional
engine and heavy duty Gyro, making the mech more resillient against penetrating
torso hits.


The weaponry is energy based, doing away with the need for ammo. The
arm-mounted Enhanced ER PPC's are the first step towards producing PPC's that
can rival those of the Clans, with 20% higher damage output. An AES is mounted
in each arm to ensure the pilot can fire these weapons accurately. Each PPC is
backed by a Medium X-Pulse Laser with an additional one in the center torso. A
torso-mounted Plasma Rifle can be a nasty surprise in combat. 15 Double
Strength heat sinks and a radical heat sink system allow the Hotspur to
carefully manage heat levels and continue shooting when other mechs are
initiating cooling down cycles.



Variants:
One variant 3V removes the Plasma Rifle and adds armour to the engine, gyro and
cockpit as well as adding an Angel ECM system, making it extremely hard to
knock out in combat. The 4V version drops the Plasma Rifle for a Large X-Pulse
Laser and adds an extra heat sink, making for a more offensive-capable mech.
