This Brutus was refitted for shorter range conflicts, like urban warfare, or for providing a sort of area-denial system against fast hovercraft that normally like to pop in and take a shot at the rear armor of mechs. The armor is upgraded to a respectable 14 tons of Ferro Fibrous armor and the SRMs are changed to 4s on the front and SSRM2s on the turret. The dual LLs were downgraded to a LPL, which is more accurate up close than the LL but has range issues.
