So the CBC just released the official numbers for the City of Winnipeg, and apparently My Fair City, from Jan. 1, 2013 to Feb 26, 2014, suffered a total of 838 water main breaks.
Since I don't recall the city being unusually plagued with them last spring, I would have to guess the bulk of those were over this rather harsh winter.
For example, there were 3 this morning that I heard about. Makes planning the daily commute a bit more of an adventure, when you don't know if your route will be underwater...
Peace is that glorious moment in history when everyone stands around reloading.

Try dealing with a flood and icing condition when you are driving a bus, and your lay over is iced over. And with how quickly the rtc was about screaming we were running hot from stops, but yet never went to check that the stop was safe for people to walk by. Well let's just say there was alot of arguments on wiether we were running early because to safely load, you had to pull past the point where the gps said you had left the stop, but you were only 100 feet beyond the sign.
