Must be a typo, yes.

That or it requires 2 crit slots. Not too sure.

Bold question, what are they going to use this for?

It's a mobile command helicopter.
So they'll probably use it like a mobile command helicopter.

Command choppers are not normally setup to be used over large bodies of water so why do you have a flotation hull on this?

Wet Navy Fleets may want to use the Pelican as well for coordination.

I don't think it requires weight, just a CBill cost multiplier. And maybe BV.

just curious, but if you don't know if it is like tsm where is just cost to have it, how do you know the wieght is right for the chopper?

I would think if it does require weight, that you have a variant that does not contain it.

Really needs a new vehicle design program as well...

It's like $25 bucks, not that costly. Then again I am sure there are other design programs out there for free you could find. Might be some here listed in the download section, not sure how uptodate those are though...

Actually it doesn't. It leaves out stuff, and it's hard to read the format which we have been over. Really think you would like HMVee and other other programs Rick offers lots there and tons of folks have ready made files willing to share them. Plus you can add fluff in as well.

And over all the price he asks isn't that bad.

Quite frankly, I am unconcerned in it's ability to show it's specifics down to the last detail when exporting the mech files and more so in it's ability to work in MegaMek, which it does admirably.

The tiny details like hand actuators and precise locations of endo steel/ ferro-fibrous crits that it shows in export mode is a far second to me. What matters to me is that such specifics are well addressed in the actual game of MM.

I do believe HMPro stuff will work with Megamek...not 100% on that one though.

And see that is where MegaMek fails, those details ARE important when it comes to crit rolls in the real/official board game with the actual record sheets.

SO back to the Pelican what prompted the CapCon Military to have this one made? What caused them to risk all that high tech in a VTOL?

Yes, the details are important when it comes to crit rolls. Those specifics ARE in the game, they just are NOT in the mech exporting file(don't ask me why). So the game MM doesn't fail, it's just the export-to-text files, which isn't the data being actually put into the engine anyways so in-game it is irrelevant.

-crossout-ofc you'd know that if you tried it out recently-crossout-

So back to the pelican. It's an experimental testbed for use in Cap armored vehicle divisions with the same role as a Command Mech or Command Vehicle, with a similar mobility as a Mech(actually greater than), minus the combat part of a Command Mech.

did it do the typo error on your chopper?
Does the vehicular stealth require 2 slots?
Or is it a programming error in that program or megamek?
I agree that when on a limited budget, 25 bucks is way more then too much to spend on programs.

I think someone offered other free software that works well.
I say this because I dislike not seeing at a glance how much armor is on something, or if they engine is fusion or not. Even seeing where the crits are assigned.

As for making a high tech mhq that is a chopper?
Because if it's a mech, every davion unit fires on it first. Who would think a chopper is hq they are after?

Additionally the chopper will outrun most units, and those that can keep pace will probably have great difficulty hitting it anyways.
