Looks like a hybrid of the Bulldog and Goblin. Brownie points for the name.

After seeing the comparison you made of the two, I do see what you are saying. I was trying to get a good IFV with just enough punch to be dangerous but not something one is going to play tag with other true AFVs or bigger war machines. Glad you liked the name.

Does the AMS provide more benefit to this vehicle than 1.5 (2 if factoring turret weight) extra tons of armor would?

Yes it does for what I wanted out of it. ( Really enjoy my cat helping with the typing) It offers the vehicle the chance to intercept missiles which may reduce the over all amount of damage taken and avoid for a while longer one of the critical rolls happening where the to hit chart/facing causes the hit to critical damage the vehicle with either one of the ever so nice extras that plague the vehicle to hit chart when certain numbers are rolled, but are surprisingly absent from the mech side of the house, except the pesky magic BB of rolling snakes eyes. So yes I feel the advantage of the AMS out weighs 1.5 tons of armor.
