Could use more lasers in place of the streaks. It has the HS to pull that off.

but it might get rained on by infernos. Sorry cheap shot. Had to take it.

Though I will say everything does not need endosteel in it.

I could see dropping one of the srms.

Endo steel is strange, in the sense of it's cost. For having to be made in an orbital factory, the cost is just 4x that of standard structure. Sure, that sounds like a lot... but when factoring the total C-Bill costs of your mech, it barely makes a dent. Perhaps it's just a time consuming technology that isn't so bad to make when proper support is in order? Whatever the case, I do not believe in having "mass producible" mechs that also sport endo-steel.

I will agree with that one retry. The facilities used to make endosteel are supposed to be in short supply.

Most of the mechs I have seen here, tend to have no space left because of the endosteel and ferrous fiber issues.

They are still interesting.

As much as people are annoyed at IS ferro fibrous for being an inferior endo-steel substitute when it comes to saving weight, it's easier to make a variant that tacks on a new type of armor than one that sports an entirely new structure made in space.

It seems the short supply part fell to the way side with expansion of the IS military and their massive use of endo steel as well as the Word of Blake using a lot of it. As for which is better or worse, it depends on what you are going for, Endo can give you, in some cases, enough saved weight to increase the speed of a mech or offer you enough saved weight to for go using Ferro Armor. Sometimes not, I look at it as trade off, using it to help get what I can out of the mech and try to keep things balanced as possible.

Still think dropping the streaks for lasers would be very beneficial.

It might be, could be a good variant, but the dual streaks could be that hit needed kind of thing that wins the fight.
