Other:This Myrmidon upgrade has an enhanced form of the Modular Weapons Quirk and has some options not normally available, like a sub-omni sort of vehicle.

For open terrain, a PPC or ER LL can be installed in place of the large pulse laser as a simple swap, which takes about an hour to complete. Another primary variation consists of a Large Laser and a co-axial flamer, with it's heat sink in the turret by the flamer. This weapon swap is rarer than the others due to it's ineffectiveness against hardened targets but is ideal when infantry are involved.

A less popular option is to change the main gun to a Plasma Rifle with a single ton of ammo based in the turret. While excelling at killing many targets, the weapon's range is merely adequate and it's battlefield endurance is low. Additionally, the weapon is difficult to reload due to the main gun assembly's allocation took the assumption the main gun would be an energy weapon without ammunition. So, in order to reload main gun ammo weaponry, the turret assembly needs to be partially taken off(taking about 15 minutes), reloaded from there, and re-attached(taking another 15 minutes).

Needless to say, this made the already sketchy AC/2 and LB 2-X AC configurations even less popular.



A similar swap can be done with the missile rack pack for a Streak SRM4 pack, a SRM6 pack, a Narc missile beacon, a MRM10, or a Thunderbolt 5 can be accomodated, with their respective single ton of ammunition. Such re-equipping takes about an hour to do. These are the only alternative options the launcher system is able to easily accomodate though, as it doesn't have full, real omni capabilities.

just checking, but you know there are omni vehicles?

Other then that, it is a good start.
Maybe a little fast, and light on weapons.

Yes, I know. But this isn't a full omnivehicle, y'see. It basically has a bunch of capabilities of switching out the select main gun with main guns of the same tonnage, and the same with the missile launcher, but it is incapable of radically changing the armament(Like, say, changing the armament to one main gun like an X-Pulse laser, or changing both weaponry to multiple smaller missile launcher systems and forgoing the main gun)
