Might be why they never wanted vehicles in the clans. You could upgrade the srms to streaks and make a very dangerous srm carrier.

Use the lrm 20's on the lrm carrier.

And it would have been better to use one chasis to get your point across.

Is the fuel cell lighter then a normal ice engine?

Yep. It's 1.5x the weight of a standard fusion engine*, rounded up to the nearest half ton. See Tech Manual p. 49 (Master Engine Table).

*A SFE as installed in a 'Mech, not with shielding and transmission gear like in a vehicle. And, no, fuel cell engines don't have shielding and transmission gear in vehicles.

The multiplier is 1.2x, actually. A 220 or 225 standard fusion engine weighs an even 10 tons on a battlemech on that table, while an equivalent fuel cell on a mech of the same rating weighs 12 tons.

Fuel Cells are superior to ICE engines in almost every way. In fact, it weighs a lot less than a Fusion engine in any vehicle not carrying energy weapons, due to the additional tonnage allocated for shielding "and such". lol

I dont like either of ATN or Retry's LRM carriers. ATNs is to slow for any use and Retry's dose not have sufficient amount of ammo.

I need to go through all of my vehicle designs and change them to the updated full cell engine rules.
OK weight is 1.5X. What about cost? Is it the same as ICE 1,250 X rating X vehicle weight / by 75?
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.

Weight is 1.2x that of a SFE, not 1.5x. That is the multiplier of a SFE on a vehicle due to magic.

Fuel cells cost more than ICE but less than a SFE. About 4/5ths that of a SFE, Approxtimately.

As for ammo, depends on how you look at it. Do you see it as "it only has the ammo for 9 turns?" Or "It has the ammo to fire 120 missiles a turn for 9 turns. For a total of 1080 missiles"

I will take Crays word that it is 1.5X he has proven to be quite reliable.

I would like an exact formula to find cost not a "kinda sorta this".
