------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Introduced in 2693, the Scamp is a light wheeled recon vehicle made by Industrial Industries, that carries 9 tons of armor, as well as a Harmony Mk. I Heavy Large Laser and a Arrowlite-4 Launcher SRM 4 as it's primary weapon systems. Two Harmon Light Small Lasers are there for those annoying targets that get to close.
The main defense of the Scamp is it's speed. Which is decent for it's weight. The Scamp has power to all eight of it's wheels and has a central tire inflation system (CTIS) which allows it to travel easier over wide varity of terrain. Also it fully amphibious, without the need for special gear do to it's ability to ford up to 2 feet of water.
The Scamp's role as a scout is it's primary function. This vehicle will not last in a stand up fit. Knowing this the crews will scoot first and shoot only if needed.
This vehilce has seen wide spread use in the entire Co-Alliance and the Karagin have copied it as well. Many merc units have at least a company of these in service.
