smoke launcher for .05 tons?
I was joking about the fractal accounting. This is the reason why.

Have you seen the smoker launchers on a real tank? They are light weight, and have six shots of what are nothing more then smoke grenades. There are nothing special to them. So yes the .05 weight would be about right and not some FASAized crazy weight that makes things so far over weight that they are very silly.

What? You mean a box of grenades isn't half a ton?
Soldiers need to carry them into battle, but yeah 1000 pounds is to heavy?

I would think the tank people could throw them out hatches.

Nope they have two six shot smoker launcher that launches them out. Like I said nothing special. I used the remaining weight to zero out things and give it that character I felt it needed.

Tank-mounted smoke launchers are much more effective and, as Karagin noted, very light. A tank crewman can toss one grenade in the time it takes a tank launcher array to set up a screen a hex across.

This LeClerc demonstrates the how heavy and fast a vehicle-mounted smoke launcher can set up a smoke screen:

This Abrams demonstrates how far and fast the grenades fly, though the resulting screen isn't impressive at first glance.

An FYI, those things can be lethal if they hit a person, we have to warn the tanker when we give them the rounds for the smoker launchers NOT to aim them at soldiers etc...

I have three variants for this one, a engineering vehicle, an APC and a SP Artillery unit.
