I could add that back in, though the original didn't have them, and I was going for upgrade, hands for mechs are to me a niche thing, yes they make sense but then it comes down to do you want to do things with the mech? Like use it as Rocky and fight it out?

I may be mixing this up with another mech. I thought this ones fluff said something about a mech that could be used as a jack of all trades in the frontier. Maybe that one was called something like the marshall mech..

Anyways, it could be used for alot of different things including helping with things like blocked roads and other things that required atleast one hand. But that is your choice.

That was Chameleon, which was the original trainer mech back in the day for the Second Ed. Box Set, they updated it and brought it forward in the 3058 or 3075 TRO, though record sheets did appear for it in the old FASA record sheet books.

The Merlin was original found as the example of how to build a mech, it was a pretty basic mech, nothing fancy.

They had one mech the outworlds alliance had built that was for policing the frontier. I know it was not the chameleon.

Ok the marshall is the on that talks about patrolling the frontier. It is a Taurian Concordat mech.
The merlin mixed me up because it is made in the outwords alliance on Alpheratz.
