If you're paying for a Fusion engine, might as well drop an LRM-5 and upgrade to the PPC. Might lose a bit of armor in the process, but it's worth it for the penetration. A 5/8 PPC is worth quite a bit.

TigerShark I disagree with your mod

If I was going to mod this armored car I would

Remove the Large Laser and Medium Laser for a PPC

I would drop the two LRM-5s for a MRM-10 and a SRM-2. I would put the SRM-2 in the front.

If I was using Frac accounting I would have only .25 Tons of SRM-2 ammo add a Machine Gun and .25 tons of MG ammo.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
Yay for promotions!!!

FWL doesn't have many PPCs for some reason and use lasers instead.

I like the pair of LRM 5s. It lets you deploy utility munitions, like Thunder mines and smoke missiles, at a useful speed with resistance to critical hits. A single LRM 5 doesn't deliver a lot of indirect firepower, either.

Also, it's an earlier FWL design. They had a PPC crunch in the 3020s.

The construction era says "Star League." They had plenty of PPCs at the time.

Sure. Still, even then it would be detracting from PPC mech production like Awesomes.

actually, I think the 3025 era has fwl having the only WORKING awesome factories. There mechs made in all the houses, just most seem to have been preserved in a few. Marauders seem to be produced in all the houses, even though it was a starleague mech.

But still. If you are building them in 3025 or later, the ppc issue might still be in effect.

No, not really. In the Star League era they weren't keeping military factories running at wartime rates so there would be slack, like the ability to put on extra shifts. The Star League was also a time of industrial plenty so there'd be plenty of opportunity to do something like expand an existing PPC factory or build a new PPC factory if demand was high enough.

Ah well. It's convenient when the crunch does happen.
