Why so many heatsinks?

I see one 18 heat laser, 3 small 3 heat lasers and a pair of gauss rifles and the atm with 3 heat.
Looks like you have about 3 or so extra heatsinks. Though the small lasers would probably not be used often..

had forgotten the rasalhague republic had one named that.

now as for the atm causing 8 heat, that makes sense. At 3, the mech runs cool even with a run.

Yep, it was in some part inspired by the MechAssault design. Consider this the non-crazy "semi-canonical" version.
