Overview: I came up with the concept for this while working on my Project Upgrade series...unfortunately, not all of the tech I wanted to use was available in 3050, so I used a "downgraded" version for that project.
This model is a major upgrade over the original, and even a significant step up from the BLR-JM previously posted; like the other version, this one uses Endo Steel and Double Heat Sinks to save tonnage, adding another pair of Medium Lasers for the Front arc, improving the SRM with Artemis IV FCS, and boosting long range capacity by upgrading the existing PPC and adding an ER Large Laser. In addition, this version makes use of a Light Fusion Engine for additional savings without the same level of risk associated with the XL Engine. Reucing heat dissipation from 28 to 26 saved both weight and space, allowing the addition of a Targeting Computer and a Guardian ECM Suite.
Two simple variations have been proposed, both of which can be applied to the same 'Mech. First, drop the ECM, upgrade the SRM to a Streak SRM 6, and add an additional DHS. Second, if the 'Mech is to be deployed with appropriately-equipped lancemates, the Targeting Computer can be removed and replaced with a C3 Master unit.
