Chassis: Unknown Endo-Steel Power Plant: Unknown 320 Fusion XL Engine Walking Speed: 43,2 km/h Maximum Speed: 64,8 km/h Jump Jets: None Jump Capacity: 0 meters Armor: Unknown Ferro-Fibrous Armament: 2 ER PPCs 2 Gauss Rifles Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown Communications System: Unknown Targeting and Tracking System: Unknown
Overview: requested by Khan Malvina Hazen, the Black Talon originally was slower, mounted jump jets and used a targeting computer, but Hazen had these removed and the original speed upped, claiming that the TC would only distract a good mechwarrior from the real business of slaughter.
Meant for use by Jade Falcon ristars and an honourable way for older warriors to bow out with a final bang, the Black Talon made a huge impact during the Clan's invasion of the Lyran Alliance.
Capabilities: The mech's overwhelmingly simple design harkens back to the Stone Rhino, sharing a similar siilhouette, but sleeker and made to look even more menacing by careful design, adding bird of prey elements to the mech.
Armed with a pair of PPC's and twin gauss rifles the Black Talon lacks secondary weapons, but it is meant to be used in a very aggressive manner, ignoring secondary targets and going for enemy mechs first, leaving other units to be dealt with by elementals or fellow star members.
Piloted mostly by brash young pilots on their way up or older warriors who seek one last chance at glory, the Black Talon is perfectly suited to their needs, the lack of more modern technology is offset by aggression and the will to fight against even impossible odds.
The Black Talon has two weaknesses, it lacks the ammo to keep up sustained engagements and lacks weaponry to deal with anything other than Mechs.
Battle History: The sight of Black Talons unleashed terrifies even the most hardened mechwarrior. Tough and well-armed the Black Talon can take on almost any target short of the most powerful Assault and Colossal mechs and even they have to watch their step.
Perfectly suited to Hazen's Mongol Doctrine, the Black Talon is expected to pick out the mainstay mechs of the enemy force and aggressively take them in combat, switching to the next target as soon as they are downed. This form of combat is highly suitable to young talented Falcon mechwarriors looking for glory as well as giving elder pilots a chance to unleash their skills and accumulated experience in one last blaze of destruction and mayhem.
Survival rates are very low, but kill lists and tallies are often off the chart.
Black Talons are either brought down by superior firepower or by combined arms, where infantry, vehicles and mechs operate together, exploiting the Black Talon's one-sided armament, but often at a high cost.
Deployment: Assigned to spearhead assaults, Black Talons are found in most Falcon first line Galaxies. Under Khan Hazen's orders the Falcons have begun to experiment with binaries of Black Talons and Falcon battle armour. While the Black Talons charge headlong into the enemy the Battle Armour covers their rear, ready to violently counter-attack flanking moves by enemy infantry or tanks. So for this tactic has proven quite effective.
Variants: No official version exists yet. The older original pre-production mechs with jump jets have been issued to combat units and are thought to have been "used up" in combat.
Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors: "Isegrim", Zorana a Clan Wolf bondswoman is a self-described "late-bloomer", something of a liability within the Clans's unsual social structure. She narrowly failed her Trial of Position when her autocannons jammed at the wrong moment. She made up for it by becoming a skilled communications expert and tactical officer, she did gain a reputation for being a fearless mechwarrior, bordering on the reckless. Capture by the Falcons she was given a Black Talon she named Isegrim and launched herself into battle with a ferocity that surprised even the Falcons. Expecting her to be killed in her first engagement she has triumphed against the odds, briging both glory to the Falcons and created resentment because of her background as a Clan Wolf "failure".

Impressive. Like it. It looks like you have 8 armor points allocated for the tonnage/assigned points you have listed. Wanted to see what it might look like with Ultra-10s and plugging in the information into HWP shows extra points versus what you have listed.
