I have begun a long project to take sprites and information out of this classic game.
Sarna tells me that I can't post a link yet, but you should see what I've gotten done so far. Rich Longess on Pintrest.

There are just NO FANSITES dedicated to REVENGE, and there is so little information to be had. I've made three complete maps so far, and retrieved a lot of sprites. I'm sure there is more than I can get on my own, however. I would really like to be able to view the actual files and get the images and read how the program works. According to Tony Van, the game accurately coded the mechs down to the heat sink including critical spots, how much room each weapons takes up inside the mech, etc.

I'm thinking this game has GOLD hidden inside. Any advice on how to read the following file types or other ideas would be appreciated:

*.COL
*.CPS
*.CMP
*.MUS (seems like the music files for the game)
*.BIN
*.ICN
*.MAP
*.DAT
*.CFG
Are you interested in what hidden treasures may lie deep inside this game?
You may choose only one
YES!
Nah.
