------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== The Draconis Combine began design of the Kagero in the lat 3040s, intended as a new front line heavy mech incorporating the the latest technologies. The Clan invasion quickly put a stop to development, as the Combine lost worlds and military forces to onslaught of these near unstoppable invaders. For nearly a decade, all R&D of the mech was mothballed as the Draconis Combine focused resources on rebuilding, refitting, and retooling of existing mechs and facotry production lines. The few dozen mechs built were fitted with second-line equipment to bolster its forces.
==Capabilities:== The Kagero, Japanese for "heat haze", lives up to its namesake. Built with little advanced tech, it heatsink system is barely able handle the high heat its weapon array produces. A mediocre 12 tons of armor provide average protection. A standard engine increase survivability allowing the mech to reach 65 km/h; a MASC system allows the Kagero to quickly close in on its enemy where it can bring the bulk of its weaponry to bear.
The main armament is a Tiegart PPC for long range firepower. A trio of Bical SRM-6s pack of a hell of a wallop, along with 3 tons of ammunition for extended operations. Four Victory 23R medium lasers located in the torso further increase its endurance. For anti-infantry defense, a Zippo Flamer and a Sperry Browing Machine Gun give the Kagero flexibility to deal with ground pounders. Finally, all ammunition is protected by CASE.
==Deployment== The Draconis Combine has found the Kagero to be very flexible mech to a wide variety of mission profiles, from urban combat and guerrilla warfare to anti-Elemental mech. One of the preferred roles is to use the Kagero as a heavy incendiary mech, where the Kagero can rush an enemy with its MASC system and confused and overheated its opponent with Inferno and Smoke round ammo.

The fluff sells this one! Well done and a very nasty mech if used correctly.

gonna be picky and ask why call the thread maurer and the mech is called kagero?
Don't know how you feel about the flamer or if you have the room for it, but I would suggest removing the flamer for another heat sink. Against the clans, you would not want to overheat that quickly, while using the firepower you have as often as possible, since pulling back to cool down is not likely to give you a second change.
The masc does help along with the jets, so you may have more of a chance then I am thinking.

Not sure what you are refering to, but it sounds like the issue is on your end. The thread title is Kagero KGR-1D on my end.

The flamer is really more for flexibility of anti-infantry (a platoon in a wooden structure or wooded area) then overheating a mech. And I pretty much designed it to require some form of heat moderation - PPC + medium lasers or SRMs or medium lasers + SRMs for shorter ranges - to go along with the whole concept of the name. I considered downgrading the PPC to a large laser for a heatsink + armor, but then it wouldn't feel like a Combine heavy mech without one.
