Since Hardened armor counts as double armor what happens when it gets hit with a
M Laser. Does it do like half a point of damage? Or do you round up or down?

p281 Tactical Operations: "Each point of Hardened Armor can sustain two points of damage. To refl ect this, when marking damage off on a location protected by this
armor type, draw a single slash through the armor bubble for the fi rst point of damage sustained, and a second slash, making an “X” (or block the armor
bubble out entirely) after the second point (at which point any remaining damage aff ects the internal structure normally, unless any special rules apply)."

So the answer is option C: you mark off half a point of armor with 1 point of damage. You'd need 2 medium laser shots to mark off 5 points of hardened armor.

You could do this a a hard route by making a separate set of damage circles and marking them off then moving to the main diagram. It just means adding the 'extra' damage spots of hardened to either the data sheet or another piece of paper.

Besides being a pain and taking time to do it, a problem arises that you need to keep the other piece of paper with the unit it was made for. So now you have 2 pages for one mech.

The single slash for one damage, and making an X for removing the second point of damage is easier in this situation.

It still has some issues that some are used to filling in the circles for each damage point, and if you do this with using hardened, you are removing more points then you should be.

SCANTRON test, fill in the bubble. Supposed to completely circle it, not use a check mark. Using Cray's suggestion, put a check through the bubbles until the entire section of armor is filled, then go back and bubble it in. Check off all small damage rolls, for a Gauss or AC/20 just bubble half the damage in on the hit for that turn.
