Capabilities An advanced Light Fusion Engine with a rating of 210 powered the Magnum at respectable, if somewhat low, speeds for a light 'Mech. The BattleMech was built on an Endo-Steel chassis and protected by seven tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor, the maximum amount of armor protection available. Ten double heat sinks dissipated heat. Armament came in the form of two side-torso-mounted LRM-5's, each mated to Artemis IV systems and fed from one ton of ammo stored in the center torso. At standoff ranges, a pair of arm-mounted Light PPC's provided direct-fire capabilities and made this 'Mech a threat to other "lights". Finally, at extremely short ranges, a pair of torso-mounted ER Small Lasers were brought into play for a bit of extra punch. This loadout, while easily ignored by most heavier 'Mechs, made the Magnum an incredibly potent Light 'Mech hunter. Variants A simple field refit removes the LRM's and instead slaves their Artemis systems and retools their ammunition bay to feed a pair of SRM-4's mounted in place of the longer-range, but identically sized, LRM racks. This refit is designated MAG-1Ns. A second variant removes the Light PPC's and replaces them with twinned Standard and Pulse medium lasers. This version is designated the MAG-1Nl. Another variant being designed that uses MML's in place of the LRM's, but no information regarding its specifications is available, beyond its designation: MAG-1Nm.

Might be better to use a single lrm 10 launcher and save some weight and money. Having 2 artemis systems for lrm 5's sounds a little much. Though I can see why a lighter mech might use 2 systems. If you are screening a force and fighting light vehicles, a jeep isn't something you want to waste using a larger launcher.
It looks like a modified version of the puma/uller omnimech. I don't have the rules for the light ppc, but would guess the clan erppc is a much heavier punch to it.
Still, the mech looks like it is efficient enough for wide spread use.
The double heat sinks should be stated somewheres in the readout portion, not forcing people to have to figure it out. Don't know if that was the mech program, or editing. Just thought I would let you know. One that line as well, some put the heat generation along with the weapons stats, some don't. If it's the program, I would suggest leaving a note to the coders/developer on this stuff.

This is IS tech, Light PPC is less than half the weight of a standard PPC, exactly half the weight of a Clan ER model. Double heat sinks, yes. Also, it's more efficient in terms of damage to size to have LRM-5's instead of -10's, I forget why. Thanks for the feedback. It generates 20 points of heat, and dissipates the same 20 every turn.

2 LRM 5s with Artemis is exactly the same tonnage, heat, and damage as a single LRM 10 with Artemis.
A bit light on the LRM ammo, but not worth trading anything for the extra ton, unless it's being deployed with Narc-equipped units, in which case you can drop the Artemis.
I really like the ERSmalls on this unit, fills in the minimum range gap nicely.

Thanks glad you like it. I'm also making a special ops version called the Magpie that I'll post momentarily.

I see you used the REMLAB. Its such a nice program, just needs a few bug fixes.

Yeah, usually I use Solaris Skunkwerks but right now I'm on a Chromebook which doesn't have Java :P

One suggestion....your armour is a bit inefficient; you can save half a ton by dropping only 3 points of armour. Another ERSmall Laser would work nicely instead.
