There are 10 main ruling powers in this universe:
Blue Suns Confederacy Rsusteri Faction House Anthia Kriat Conglomerate Daxa Faction House Pine Veanrey Faction Michael's Theocratic States Vieanal Faction Markae Plutocracy
And yes I based the names off of the types of governments they are. Pictures for each are below.

And for those who won't open the attachment, its just a pie chart of the governments power.

So you are not starting off each one on the same level, then going from there? That is one thing I think kinda sucks in battletech. You did not get to help or hinder the enemy when the powers were equal.
But then players do tend to do things like destroy story lines with things that you don't expect.

Sorry I don't really get what you are saying, sorry. Is this what you were meaning? The chart just shows the size of the governments not necessarily the strength of them.

As I said in another thread, I do not open attachments.
With that said, I was asking if all factions were starting off with equal forces and resources, or was it like the innersphere in 3025? Liao was ravaged, while the rest were well off, with davion and kurita having the better trained units, while steiner was economic powerhouse, but with officers that were more political appointees then trained combat soldiers.
But with the time you entered, you may not know that particular set up, so this line of questioning might be a no go.

Well since I am working on the story I think it will be something along the lines of the IS, but the ruling powers have much different backgrounds.
