Unfortunately the capabilities to produce it were lost in the Succession Wars (Of course...) and only in recent days have the capabilities to produce the design in its original glory have returned. Capabilities A 180-rated standard Fusion Engine provided speed and power without making the 'Mech too fragile or expensive to manufacture. Six tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor provided the maximum amount of protection possible for the Boarhound's Endo-Steel chassis. Ten Double Heat Sinks kept the TA-30 sufficiently cooled. Armament was a mixed-bag of energy weapons: Two Medium Lasers wrist-mounted on the left arm just above the hand actuator, while a small laser and an ERPPC replaced the right arm's hand actuator. A Machine Gun provided close-in fighting aid, and was supplied with half a ton of ammo. Variants TA-30-D: D for "Downgrade." A few Boarhounds survived into the Succession Wars and these were downgraded to standard tech, if not stripped for parts entirely. Armament was replaced with standard lasers, one Large, one Medium, and two Smalls. An MG with half a ton of ammo evened out the armament and provided anti-infantry possibilities. Heat sinks were downgraded to Singles, and redistributed in the torsos.
