Capabilities A 25-ton chassis and a 110-rated Fuel Cell engine were the basis of the Sleipnir. Three tons of armor provided some protection from enemy fire, and a four-ton infantry bay allowed a single battle-armored squad to be transported. Its rotors were mounted in a Dual Rotor arrangement. Armament was impressive for a VTOL, especially against infantry--A pair of Light Machine Guns in the nose, as well as the left and right sides of the vehicle, drawing from a one-ton ammunition bin in the body, joined in the nose by a pair of Heavy Machine Guns with one ton of ammo. This armament allowed the Sleipner to unleash a withering volley of rapid fire at enemy forces as its troops disembarked. Variants Sliepner-SRM (MB-BV-25): For taking on hardened targets. Replaces weaponry with twin SRM-6's with a single ton of ammo, both missile launchers mounted in the nose of the aircraft. Sliepnir-LRM (MB-CV-25): Gives the Sliepnir a bit more range, stripping the weaponry in favor of a trio of nose-mounted LRM-5's with one ton of ammo. Sliepnir-Armor (ATT-DV-25): Removes all weaponry from the nose in favor of a Rocket Launcher-20, removing the HMG ammunition as well. Adds one and a half tons of armor for excellent protection, able to survive an AC/20 hit to the nose and keep flying, or a Gauss Rifle to the tail. Naturally the rotors remain fragile.

It makes for a solid, cheap troop transport, although the fuel cell will prove to be a limiting factor by reducing flight time in comparison to any other engines.(Not that you have to worry about this in-game.) Perhaps this VTOL would benefit from a sponson turret arrangement of one HMG and two light MGs per turret instead of the current bristling arrangement.

Yeah, I'll probably write it up later with Solaris Armor Werks and mount 'em like that.
