45 shots for single fire is ok for a unit, but once you pump up the speed, a single ton of ammo might not be enough.
I would think multi fire of the ac 2 would be more likely to take out vehicles, since crits are nasty things with them. I am under the impression the plasma rifle is like a gauss rifle for damage. All to one location.
The rotary 2 seems like to light of a main weapon, but this does look like a long range unit to soften up enemy units before they can within the heavy weapons damage range, barring a few like the gauss. Not sure of the rotaries range.

RAC/2 has same range as the standard AC/5, but with no minimum. Can fire up to six shots, so it can do SRM-6 damage at twice the range...at the risk of jamming.
