After its stunning success in this role, the Ghost Bears are considering offering this machine for mass purchase to Inner Sphere factions, often modified with the infantry bay one ton smaller to conform to Inner Sphere battle armor formation structures, and more armor added. Capabilities A cheap 120 ICE engine, two and a half tons of standard armor, and a 20-ton wheeled chassis meant the Shackle was a cheap unit to produce. A 5-ton infantry compartment was sufficient to carry up to one full point of armored Elemental infantry. Four Light Machine Guns with half a ton of ammo were mounted in a turret to scythe through conventional infantry with deadly efficiency, and also, together, posed a threat to larger units. While this vehicle couldn't stand up to a determined assault by mainline combat units, its armor and speed were good enough to get it out of such situations quickly, or long enough to deploy its cargo to protect it.
