There's room for a small laser or the like, half a ton unused.

My crits are completely full atm, so I'd have to remove a hand actuator. I decided that the hand actuator would be of more value than a SL or ERSL

Well I believe if the design is underweight it's illegal is it not?

IIRC only overweight designs are considered illegal, not underweight ones.

Add half a ton of armor if you haven't maxed it already?

119/119 reflective, so it's maxed.

I suppose you could remove the hand actuator for a small laser if you really wanted to. Or maybe armor the hand actuator for a half ton of armor(crit resistant, once.). Really, it's a minor detail. Anything to say about the core design?

Drop a heatsink and put in an ECM.
If you're going to only be firing every second turn what does it matter if you're heated up on one turn? Presumably that heatsink is not in the engine. That solves your weight problem as well.

Does reflective armor take up critical space like ferrous fiber?
Does the small cockpit take up less room or supply less crititcals for the head?

And to add to akalabeths suggestion, the jets will allow you to maneuver while cooling down. Though it wasn't really a weight problem but a lack of crits.
Still sounds weird a like mech would be out of crits, but until I find out about the first two questions, I can't do more then guess.

Reflective armor, endo steel, XL gyro, XL engine all take up more space.

Small cockpit takes up less space. One less life support I think not sure.

So one less spot taken by life support should mean you have an open spot.

Still sounds like something is wrong.

Arms normally have 8 spots available, Legs + CT 2 spots, RT/LT 12 spots, Head 1. +2 from missing actuators and + 1 from small cockpit = 50

HPPC + Capacitator = 5
Endo Steel = 14
XL Gyro = 2
XL Engine = 6
2 DHS = 6
Reflective = 10
Jump Jets = 7

= 50

No crits left
