It's interesting at least. Just make sure you don't shoot at any AMS carrying mechs. Kind of surprised it doesn't drop a couple tons of ammo and even armor for a couple of back up weapons.

Hmmn, would rather take a Bombard myself. 50 tons. 1K BV. backup weapons. Tbolt-15s.
Or point is the mech seems under-armed for its weight

Wait, Really? The Bombard?

2/3 movement and no jump jets, 10 heat sinks that can barely handle the ER lasers, it has to bracketfire the missiles too.

Oh it has single heat sinks? That's moronic. Particularly since the original supposedly had some form of DHS.
Either way point is two Thunderbolt-20s for an 85 ton mech seems inadequate. Weapons has 5 hex minimums with no backup weapons. I'd drop the jump jets for some lasers.

Drop two tons of ammo, and add a couple ML's.

I'm not sure that DHS would fit on the Tbolt-15 version of the Bombard. Silly design flaw though.

I picked the 85 ton bracket because it's the biggest weight class that can feasibly add jump jets. 90 through 100 tons becomes extremely heavy per jump jet.

The Thunderhead is a somewhat cheap weapon platform for the Thunderbolt 20s in the era of XLEs. Although, if you switch the FF for standard armor and an XLE, it's possible to augment the TB20s further with AES. for a price tag hike. An AC/20 like hit at improved long range brackets (connected to C3 networks) can be very useful when placed well.
