The Tiger Medium Battlequad is an alternative history design created by an alternative history faction in Battletech.

The speedy and able Tiger Battlequad is designed as a main battlesuit to medium-speed and low-speed elements when omnimechs/vees or even APCs are not available to transport more traditional humanoid armor squads. Lances that would normally be left without infantry support of any sort can now benefit from an effective and fast battle armor type, which proves to be an able force multiplier compared to pure armor lances which slightly to greatly increases combat effectiveness, depending on the situation.

The Tiger strikes a balance between armor and firepower, topping the combination with a rarely-seen top speed of 15 meters per second. A squad or two of Tigers can be attached to an assault mech lance with little to no impact on it's strategic mobility, as the Tigers can often match the speed of the assault units. Independence from APCs reduces logistical strains by taking the APCs themselves and their required support out of the equation, while also making the infantry more fluid by freeing them from vehicular terrain restraints. If the lance consists of omnimechs, the Tigers can be supplemented by conventional humanoids as well.

In combat trials, the Tiger has proven to be very comparable to the Elemental. The Tiger retains an advantage in more open and level terrain where Tiger squads can decide the range at which to engage, using the long range of their well-stocked LRM launchers to maximum effect, while the Elemental's jump jet enhanced maneuverability provides an advantage in more restricting terrains such as dense forests and mountains. In urban terrain, the advantages are a little more muddled, as Elementals can navigate above, on, and around small structures, and the Tigers are able to maneuver far easier within structures or fire indirectly on squads using LRMs.
