I guess that's one way to look at it, though it was based on the Warbow concept. Specifically, I downsized the mech to allow for a more conventional and useful movement profile. As a bonus/concession for being downsized to nearly half the missiles and tonnage of the Warbow, the Macross has an augmented Artemis V system allowing for better use of the missiles it has, Reactive Armor instead of standard armor for soaking some types of damage, and jump jets for mobility. It's cheaper and more conventional than the Warbow, overall.
