is there some way to just ban the ip or even disallow the anonymous posts to not show up?
There seems to be a heavy barrage of them lately, and it is annoying to see the red icons, which causes me to think something legit is being posted.
This might be the wrong area to ask this as well.

They're been noticed. We're working on them. It's a little more complicated than usual.

Not able to read them. They certainly show up on the forum main page as Titles only, but clicking on them gets you nothing...

I've racked up something like 22 unread messages by not clicking so far, making a game of how far it goes before my curiosity takes over and I click

I found clicking the entry by bob the zombie will remove the red numbers like the thread were read. Not sure if that is supposed to happen or not, but it has. It is under that areas heading.

I tried to open the first one or two when it first happened, but it was just a blank page. No lists of unread posts or anything. Haven't tried since. I'm too cautious to even try clicking on that forum page. Don't really feel like getting hit with a virus or something.

Main reason why they are dangerous. Interesting head lines and from anonymous sources. Good way to catch one. Some of the headlines are definitely not something most would want to look at.
Though it is a wonder. Are they from the same ip or scattered?

Some of the forums (eg MW Tactics) had incorrect permissions for anonymous users (eg they were allowed to post), which I've disabled.

Let me know if you continue to see any issues.

It's very likely these are just automated web bots seeing if they can post.
