Tripped over this while looking through the old TCI _BattleTech_ model kit scenarios -- this comes from _#1: _Shadow Hawk_ Vs. _Scorpion_ _.

Why didn't they post this in the tro's? Copyright issue? I think this tank is much better then the 35 ton hunter. Hell I would go with this tank for a light assault group.
A lack of turret would be the only real issue, but given the fact it is rather quick for the time and the ppc makes it a nice ranged hitter and under 500k you could do alot of damage to an attacker quickly.

Using the cargo body weight, you could put a turret on it and add armor to avoid pulling it off the rest of the uni. Hell, might improve it over all.

guess with this design, people would not have tried most the other tanks out. Why waste money on a light mech, when this could almost one shot them.. I like it.

I think they just plain forgot about it. Also, they'd have to rename it, and rewrite the parts I mentioned.

It isn't really a "tank", qua tank -- it's closer to the _Hetzer_ Assault Gun, or the historical Sturmgeschutzen: Big gun on small frame, to keep costs in check.

Not really -- see above; thinning out the armor for a turret would be defeating the purpose. Put it in a decent firing position; have it bang away with the PPC; when the enemy gets too close, De-A** The Area With The Quickness.

Hell, one can one-shot a light 'Mech with an AC/20* -- but first one has to be able to *hit* the little bugger. Any Light which isn't jumping around or running deserves to get dead. So, this unit has range, but if it isn't scoring hits....

[*: Saw a _Wasp_ get hit on the leg by an AC/20 -- the shot destroyed the leg (9 pts.), and the adjacent torso section (11 pts.), which also removed the arm on that side. May not have killed it outright, but that _Wasp_ didn't do much the rest of the game.]

Oh, and apparently [CODE] doesn't work -- tried four times to get it to work, and it wouldn't.
