Nice to see a unit with the C3 master.
Is this supposed to be a fire support or something else?
It seems like it could use a few more longer range weapons for fire support. I know the C3 takes up a lot of weight, but seems a little weak in a more aggressive role.
It is a shame the ERMLs weren't around for the IS in 3050..
The main thing I can think of for suggested changes would be remove the LRM or down grade it to add an ERLL or PPC/ERPPC. It does remove the ability for IDF though.
Upgrading the LRMs would basically make it a two weapon unit, and that isn't really ideal.
Guess a sniper unit with the Gauss would be fine as a role for it.

C3 lance and company command mechs should have an ECM by default, (operating in ECCM mode). 5 tons is a bunch of dead weight if some enemy chucklehead blocks the signal. Otherwise I think it's a good design, the gauss and LRM both can definitely benefit from the C3. I also like the SFE.
Yeah, add an ECM and case and I'd use this as a lance command.
