I was thinking of a dual BIG GUN Clan crab variant, here we go. I call this "Fiddler Crab" because I didn't want to split the HAG 40 between two locations and thus double the Gauss explosion risk. Giving it one 'small arm' with only the HAG 40 in it and the upper arm actuator and shoulder actuator, where the other arm has a lower actuator and the Ultra AC/20 like the regular King Crab (that's the 'big arm' of the fiddler crab).
The weapons on this are brutal, made worse by the huge eight ton targeting computer. Maybe there are better uses for 8 tons and 8 crits; I just really like TC's. Two ER Large Lasers make this design useful even if all ammo is depleted. Ammo isn't neglected though, with 9 tons total between 4 for the Ultra AC/20 and 5 for the HAG 40. (at double rate, that's 10 rounds of fire for the Ultra 20, 15 rounds of fire for the HAG; which makes sense as the HAG series can actually almost match the range of the ER Large Lasers (range of 24!)
Alpha striking is ill-advised, 15 double heat sinks let you hit with the HAG and both lasers most of the time, but at short range hitting with the Ultra and lasers (minus the HAG) or the Ultra and HAG (minus the lasers) is recommended. Especially if firing the Ultra at double rate.
Max standard armor at 19.5 tons; this design is exactly .5 tons underweight.

7 Tons of ammo in the RT though? Ouch. Gotta burn through that quickly before it goes boom.

I thought hag ammo didn't explode. Just the weapon itself.
Interesting design.
But wouldn't it be better to run just 2 hag 40s? The range along would probably make it worth it. Dropping one erll would more then cover it.
Though only 10 shots per gun is light with that being the main weapons, still be an awesome mech for trials.
Would like to see something that doesn't have all the advanced tech.
Still like the ac 20, and the ultra makes it that much more dangerous. Too bad it is dead weight against anyone that knows and has the room to stay away from it.

Oh yeah you're right. Forgot it's a gauss weapon.
IT doesn't have the heat sinks to fire the UAC/20 with the other weapons so if a guy stays at range, they'll just hit with 2 ER LL and a HAG/40 instead.
