Overview:
Popular in house Marik, the Marauder MAD-10M was designed by new design staff at General Motors to mount many of the newest technologies while retaining the 'feel' of the original Marauder. Using the basic chassis and structure of the MAD-9S model, a second ballistic weapon in the form of a Light Gauss Rifle was added, the LBX autocannon of the MAD-9S being replaced with a second of the same, and the PPC's were downgraded to Light versions, but doubled in number. However, this necessitated the removal of any other weaponry, in this case 2 lighter lasers and a flamer, as well as the advanced electronics carried by the -9S.
Capabilities:
As stated above, the MAD-10M carried two Light Gauss Rifles along with one ton of ammo per gun in each side torso, and the arm hardpoints were equipped with two Light PPC's each in place of hand actuators. While this variant suffered at closer ranges due to the 'deadzone' of each weapon, it was expected to destroy the enemy well before they got there. Armor was also replaced with an impressive 14 tons of new Light Ferro-Fibrous armor.
Variants:
MAD-10M2: Replaces a Light PPC from each arm with a Medium Laser, the four tons freed by doing so being used to install two jump jets in each leg.
