Well, another design by the people in my TT campaign, though this one was designed by the GM. Without further ado, allow me to introduce the PRV-4 Privateer.

Overview : The PRV-4 Privateer was originally designed and built by the Terran Hegemony in 2435, as the COM-1A Commando; a rapid strike raider and scout unit for their armies. Stolen by Kuritan raiders in 2461, and subsequent Houses during the early years prior to the Age of War, the design rapidly spread into all armed forces arsenals. Now under limited production by the Pirates of Haven, their variant uses the COM-1A as its core design, known as the PRV-4 Privateer. It has proven popular among that organization�s younger pilots.
Capabilities : Built around a single long-range laser, the Privateer is a light and fast unit, intended to be a raider or flanking scout to a more traditional force of Mechs. Historically, the unit has excelled at this role, and has proven popular, despite its primitive aspects and lighter weight.
Over its centuries of service, several minor flaws have been noticed. The critical flaws in the Odin�s cooling system, cause excessive heat buildup resulted in the breakdown of lubricants in the actuators of the �Mech�s right arm. The result can be a high failure rate for these components, particularly over time.
It should also be noted, that the Mech uses advanced Communications and T&T Systems, under license by Comstar. The Rover and Test-2 are proven models, employed for centuries by Vedette Medium Tank manufacturers across the Inner Sphere. While both are declassified technology by Comstar, their widespread use remains limited to NETC (New Earth Trading Company) and Starhammer Forge, under an exclusive contract.
Variants: Among the Pirates of Haven, it is common to replace the Odin Large Laser with medium lasers and Jump Jets, but this costs it the range advantage. Known as the PRV-4A, this variant is favoured by more aggressive Pirate Mechwarriors.
The Privateer PRV-4D came about due to a deal between House Davion and a band of Pirates who utilised the model. In exchange for Letters of Marque, the pirates handed over their Privateers for study. The resulting model replaces the primitive components with modern ones, allowing for more reliable performance. In the case of the engine, the primitive 150 rated engine was replaced with a VLAR 125 engine, freeing an additional 1.5 tons, allowing for an additional heatsink and a half ton more armor.
The Privateer PVR-M "Marque" is the personal Battlemech of Captain Caius White, aka "Asmodeus". The Marque is based on the PVR-4D, but drops the Large laser for three Medium lasers, a flamer, and a one ton hatchet in the right hand.
