This one is an oddball, a Clan chassis, engine, armor, Inner Sphere small cockpit, gyro, but IS main weapons!? Due to the fact that the ELRM has the longest range of any weapon barring artillery. 38 hexes is impressive.

This unit gets decent hit chance despite ELRMs being incompatible with artemis 4 or 5, or streak tech, etc. because the ELRM-15s are mounted in 'Actuator Enhancement System' arms. (-1 to hit with all weapons mounted in an AES limb.) NOVA CEWS also helps accuracy if a point-mate is around, and helps defensively because of its integrated ECM ability. Armor is a bit low for a 55 tonner, but this thing is not intended to approach within the range of enemy weapons. A backup ER large laser is included for use when or if the missiles are depleted.

Sorry for being super late to the party, but you forgot to pack in some Clan CASE.

Also, I would suggest trying to find a way to make use of those unused critical spaces. Chameleon LPS would definitely make it harder to hit, and there seems to be just enough space left for it.

Heat management could become a bit annoying with the LPS, though, so maybe switching over to Laser Heat Sinks might be a good idea for reducing the chances of a heat-induced ammo explosio. The mech is far enough away from enemy fire that the slightly increased visibility at night is a non-issue, and the Chameleon LPS would negate those penalties anyway.

Recommended (Optional) Design Quirks:
- Improved Targeting [Long Range]: Long Range attacks (but not Short, Medium or Extreme ranges) will receive a –1 To-Hit bonus.
- Improved Communications: The mech is less susceptible to interference from hostile ECM, reducing the impact of received Sensor Ghosts by one level.
- Improved Sensors: The range of the Active Probe built-in to the Nova CEWS is increased by 2 hexes. At the ranges it is intended to be fighting at, this doesn't really benefit it all that much, except possibly as an early warning system when Ravens attempt to sneak up on the Farshot.
- Multi-Trac: The mech can open fire on two separate targets with both of its ELRM-15 launchers without suffering Secondary Target penalties.
- Combat Computer: Reduces the heat output each turn by 4, to a minimum of 0. This would bring Heat Levels back into equilibrium, thereby eliminating the need for Laser Heat Sinks.
- Narrow/Low-Profile: Ranged attacks against the Farshot will suffer a +1 penalty to hit.

Fair point about the case, it is an oversight. Yes there are some spare crits on this, but I also can't think of what to do with them. TSM is out, as it is incompatible with the AES that is integral to the design philosophy (trying to get more accuracy out of the very-long-range missiles that can't use Artemis IV or V.) Both the AES and the missile launchers all have to be in the arms, so every arm crit is needed and used, nixing chameleon or a similar system which needs a crit in every location.

lol you know FAR more than I do about quirks so I'll take your word on them (I don't use them, I'd go down a game-breaking rabbit hole with them as there is no way to balance them to prevent abuse.)

Hmm... Well, definitely take the Laser Heat Sinks (I guess for rule of cool at this point)..

As for Quirks, you will only need two: Improved Targeting, and Narrow/Low-Profile. You can offset it with Weak Legs (due to the fact it isn't meant for physical engagements) and Difficult Ejection (justified by having a Small Cockpit). Still mostly balanced that way.

You could also pack a Clan XXL Engine, filling up two critical slots in each side torso and freeing some weight that could be devoted to a pair of Jump Jets (enabling it to reach high ground). Even if you add the Combat Computer design quirk, it will still have heat spikes that will make the mech even easier to see at night. Still balanced that way. And hey, those Jump Jets provide more crit padding to (slightly) reduce the chances of crippling engine damage. The final half-ton could used for additional armor.

And now, because this looks like the kind of mech that The Society would use, Enhanced Imaging and a Damage Interrupt Circuit are both a must.
